ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Welcome! I’m Monique de Maio, or MdM as many like to call me. As a trailblazing female leader who has dedicated my own life to helping women succeed, I am here to help you see possibilities in your personal and professional life. I love meeting and working with women in leadership–or on their way there–and having them discover how they can design lives they love.
Born in France, I came to the United States at the age of five with my family and quickly had to learn to navigate a new culture and language while also advocating for my family. As a child, I experienced bullying and discrimination, which would later inspire me to create a better world for women.
Despite facing blatant misogyny, sexism, and discrimination early in my career, I worked my way up from serving in marketing roles at IBM and on Wall Street to publishing a magazine to finally running my own successful business.
Along the way, I encountered a lack of resources for women seeking mentorship and a lack of practical support for working and executive moms, and I vowed to change that for future generations of women.
My new book, The 7 Secrets to Creating a Life You Love: A Practical Guide for Women in Leadership, is the culmination of my decades-long experience as a businesswoman, entrepreneur, and mentor.
The podcast, Possibilities with Monique de Maio, is about helping women in (or aspiring to) leadership discover small things they can implement that can have a large impact on their happiness, success and well-being. I interview accomplished women who share their journeys and provide the listening audience with practical, pragmatic takeaways for all aspects of life.
